Hatch Day

Thursday morning when we arrived at school two of our eggs had begun to pip (make little air holes in their shells). By the end of the day we had two chicks and 5 with pip holes. When we arrived this morning (Friday) we found we now had 8 chicks!!! Since then our chicks have been hatching non stop! We now have about 15 chicks but it's getting hard to tell because their are so many running around in there, as well as broken shells and around 20 odd more eggs to hatch. The kids are desperate to get the hatched ones into the brooder box but I'm holding them off as long as I can. We are trying to put the chicks needs before our own!!!!
Here are a few pics of the chicks in the incubator.
